There is a thin, stable crack on the bottom ands a hole in the center of the bottom (for firing).  There might be repairs on the base of the neck (see details below).  This piece has not been tested by thermoluminescence due to the substantial fee involved. With a round bottom, it sits well on a pvc ring, which is included.

Little is known of the Djenne civilization (ca. 11th - 17th centuries), precursors to the Dogon in Mali.
