Costume 5
75" high x 55" wide x 11" deep
Headdress alone: 19" high x 8.5" wide x 11" deep
$1000
SOLD

This costume has not been vetted.   It has a very heavy and complex surface of interwoven and appliqued rope-like cloth over a burlap-like base. Since the costume is not flat, the costume has to be supported on something.  Note: the access opening in the front for the dancer is behind the band of hanging red pieces. I have not attempted to have the costume cleaned. The mask, which has an overall coating of thin brown paint, is probably not authentic, and was added to the costume for its sale. On a mannikin or dancer the long access neck would collapse once the headdress was in place.
