HAUSA, Koran Boards, Northern Nigeria

Koran Boards were used throughout Africa; numbers 1-9 are from the Hausa people in Northern Nigeria; numbers 10-19 are from Ethiopia. Texts from the Koran were written over and over on them for educational purposes.

The very devout saved the water used to wash off the words since it contained the Holy Word.
