LUBA STYLE OFFERING BOWLS ARCHIVES, DRC

Sculpted as stools and headrests, the male and female figures serve as symbolic supports, or here as handles when worked into the design of ritual offering bowls.

Despite their traditional form and appearance, these bowls exhibit little use or age and were probably made to be sold.
