I acquired the majority of these objects in 1989 (a year before
I opened Hamill Gallery) from the Nichols Gallery in Boston. Since I have
been focused on African art, these pieces have been housed in the gallery
but never exhibited. Over the years, a number of visitors suggested that
I make them at least visible, so we have decided, finally, to make them
available.
