Despite their appearance and some signs of wear, these Yoruba belts were probably made to the sold.
Only belt no. 5 might be difficult to tie, it could be pinned. Belt no. 9 appears to be two similar belts joined together (the cloth backing is a single piece).

to the Yoruba faces with vertical scarificatio on the cheeks, common themes
include many types of animals and geometric patterns.
