This very heavy post figure has been vetted as being authentic with significant signs of use and age.
There are many small cracks on this enigmatic figure and one large one down the back. All are stable and the wood is dense and solid despite its age. The coins are from British West Africa; three half-pennies from 1936, 1937 and 1949; three pennies from 1949, 1952 and 1952. They could have been added to the figure at any time.
