This Nimba mask shows little evidence of age or use and was probably made to be sold.

This is the largest and has the best traditional form of these Nimbas. The carving is crisp, with a nice balance of smooth and textured areas. There is a repaired area, probably a crack, on the back that has been painted over (see detail below).
