BALI STYLE ELEPHANT MASK 9, Cameroon

This nicely carved mask shows no evidence of age or use and was probably made to be sold.

This piece has some noticeable shallow dented abrasions on the forehead (see detail below). The inside surface of the ears and nostrils are painted a light red color. The mask was carved with a deliberate twist of the trunk to one side.
