Despite its appearance this Bamana figure shows no evidence of age or use and was probably made to be sold.
This figure is notable for its casual form contrasted with wonderful scarification patterns. Both hands are lost, there are several cracks, now stable, and traces of white paint mostly on one breast and the back.
