Despite its appearance, this elegant Baule figure shows no evidence of age or use and was probably made to be sold.
This figure exhibits the Baule love for fine detail and elegant carving. The figure is seated on an animal form stool (see detail below). There is some visible erosion/wood loss on the top of the head (see last detail below).
