IRON CROWN

Iron Crown 1
9.75" high x 7" wide x 7" deep
$150

In traditional Africa, crowns were used to show status or rank. This is made of several joined pieces of sheet metal.

Despite its appearance and patina, we believe this helmet was probably made to be sold. This interesting piece was sold to us as a Nigerian crown, which it is not. What it is, however, is an impressive headdress with plenty of fanciful details. An imaginative coronet for an imaginary king.
