This mask has been vetted as authentic, dating from the first half of the 20th Century.
This mask was vetted by Daniel Mato, author (with Charles Miller III) of Sande, masks and statues from Liberia and Sierra-Leone.
This wonderful old mask is in solid, excellent condition. There is some wood loss on the very top form and a matching horn form is probably missing on the front. The purpose of the two holes on the front of the hair is not clear. Note the native repair behind the left eye. The interior has not been darkened.
