This mask has been vetted as authentic, dating from the first half of the 20th Century.
This mask was vetted by Daniel Mato, author (with Charles Miller III) of Sande, masks and statues from Liberia and Sierra-Leone.
This elaborate old mask has minor wood loss on the top left front and bottom left.. There is a repaired section on the back of the head and neck but it is very well done. The holes for the raffia collar are rectangular. The interior has been darkened.
