This mask has been vetted as authentic, dating from the middle of the 20th Century.
This mask was vetted by Daniel Mato, author (with Charles Miller III) of Sande, masks and statues from Liberia and Sierra-Leone.
This mask has several repaired cracks in the neck on the right and left side of the front. The eye openings for the wearer are at the top of the neck (see detail below). The interior has been darkened.
