NIGERIAN STYLE  FIGURAL POST 27

We have been informed that this is Nigerian, not a Mossi piece (Thanks, Ethan Rider).

This post, despite its appearance and weathering of the base, was probably made to be sold.  It may have been carved out of an old post. It is hollow from the top to the bottom (see last photos) but is stable throughout. The custom base (last picture) has a thick round post to hold it securely.
