NDACKA (NDAAKA) MASK 7, DRC
9-20" high
$250
The NDACKA (or NDAAKA) people of northwest Zaire use masks representing ancestor spirits in elaborate initiation ceremonies. The measurements are the height of the mask, then the height of the mask plus raffia.
Despite its appearance, this Ndacka mask shows no evidence of age or use and were probably made to be sold.
