TUAREG PENDANTS, Niger
Famous for their jewelry, the Tuareg create beautiful abstract forms using silver alloys, stones, brass and copper. Their "crosses", worn as pendants were originally worn by men and passed from father to son. Most of the cross designs are named after oasis towns.
All of these pendants include strands or beaded strings for wearing as necklaces. They were probably made to be sold.
