Despite its appearance this object shows no evidence of age or use
and was probably made to be sold.
Much larger than most of the Yombe figures and painted white, this figure might be from the neighboring Bakongo people. The cracks are old and stable. There is a piece of the base missing, on the back left corner, which does not affect the stability.
