This figure, wood incased in an iron point, has been vetted as old and
authentic, with evidence of age and use.
These figures, some of which were brightly painted, were placed on altars
in shrines or displayed at special ceremonies. The wand-like staffs were
also carried during ceremonies. Several are depicted in colonial wear..
