HORSEMAN 4
44" high
$5000
SOLD
These brightly painted igures were placed on altars in shrines or displayed at special ceremonies. Important individuals and ancestors were often displayed on horseback to support their status as great warriors or leaders. This one is depicted in colonial wear.
This large horseman shows no signs of use and was probably made for the art market.
