This mask has been evaluated by a French dealer as being authentic with significant signs of use and age.

This unusual mask, of a very hard wood, is also notable for the cloth remnants of its costume, attached by thread and tacks, and a ferocious set of metal teeth.

The Ngulu mask represents the manifestation of an ancestor who adopted the form of a boar.
