This post has been vetted as authentic.
This forked post has a metal hanger on the back to hang on a wall. Although the wood is extremely hard, this tigettewin post has an eroded end. Because of that it would be difficult but not impossible to be mounted. There is a small area with wood loss on the back.
Forked tigettewin posts were used in various ways in each Tuareg family's tent, holding leather bags or supporting one end of a wooden rod which in turn held saddle and camel bags.
