Although the wood is extremely hard, this tigettewin post has an eroded end. Because of that it would be difficult but not impossible to be mounted. There are two small broken points on the left at the center (see detail below).
Forked tigettewin posts were used in various ways in each Tuareg family's tent, holding leather bags or supporting one end of a wooden rod which in turn held saddle and camel bags.
